GAME ACTIVITY “SELLER-BUYER” OF 4 YEARS OLD CLASS – SORA & NIJI
For small children under 6 years old, games play an important part in their life. Through games, they develop in every aspect: awareness, emotion, intelligence, behavior, attention, communication and social relationships.
At JIS, kindergarten is the age for playing, not studying.
To prepare for the “Seller-Buyer” game, Teachers took the children to the stores near school for real-life experience, so that they could see actual selling-buying activities. The children also made products themselves (bracelets, earrings, ice-creams, glasses, “Pho”, flowers, tea, jelly, candies, etc.) to exchange in the game the following day.
The game activity “Seller-Buyer” of Sora and Niji classes in the video below shows that the children know certain duties of a seller and a buyer. In the game, they can express clearly their own and other’s thoughts and feelings, respect and show gratitude towards sellers as well as develop skills such as observing, comparing, categorizing, judging, etc.
With scientific arrangement and good interaction between teachers and students, the lesson’s atmosphere was really good for children’s health, feelings and happiness.
