KINDERGARTEN CURRICULUM

I. THE CURRICULUM

International Curriculum: Students are taught in Japanese standards and programs, the language of instruction is Vietnamese, Japanese and English. Japanese is taught in parallel as the mother tongue; English is taught 4-5 units a week for ages 3 and 4, taught by native English speakers.

Bilingual Curriculum: tudents are taught in Japanese standards and programs, the language of instruction is Vietnamese and English, English lessons include 8 units per week, taught by native speakers.

II. THE OBJECTIVES TO BE ACHIEVED

In early childhood education, we need to achieve 15 goals in five specific fields as follows:

1. Field of "expression"

1.1. Children are rich in sensitivity to the beauty of so many things;

1.2. Children are interested in expressing their own feelings and thoughts;

1.3. Enrich the visualization through living in life and enjoy the many expressions.

2. Field of “the relationship with people”

2.1. Children are happy with the kindergarten activities and feel a sense of satisfaction for acting with your strength;

2.2. Children are friendly to the people around them, deepen the relationship so that children have sentiment and feelings of being more reliant;

2.3. Children get the expected habits and attitudes in social activities.

3. Field of “language”

3.1. Children feel the excitement in expressing their mood in language;

3.2. Children feel the joy of listening to the language, the story of others, expressing their experiences and thoughts and communicating with each other;

3.3. As well as learning the necessary languages in life, children are familiar with Ehon and the stories and have a heart-to-heart talk with teachers and friends.

4. Field of “environment”

4.1. Children are familiar with their surroundings and are interested in many phenomena through contact with nature;

4.2. Children expose to the environment, think and enjoy the innovations and intend to apply them to their live;

4.3. Through thinking and seeing close phenomena, children will have a great deal of sense of the nature and number of things as well as the writing.

5. Field of “health”

5.1. Children act happy, comfortable and feel the full sensation;

5.2. Children are physically active and actively want to mobilize;

5.3. Children have the habit, the attitude that are necessary for health and safety.

1. To ensure the quality of nurturing, caring, and educating children, Japanese International School committed to:

1.1 Make sure not to exceed the number of children as prescribed.
